Our Objectives

Professional Development

Improve the knowledge, skills, and competencies of healthcare professionals in hematology and oncology across Uganda through specialized training programs, continuous medical education, mentorship initiatives, evidence-based practice, and strategic academic and institutional partnerships.

Foster Research

Support the generation, publication, dissemination, and implementation of high-quality research addressing locally and globally relevant issues in hematology and oncology, to improve clinical practice, inform policy, and contribute to scientific advancement in Uganda.

Improve Patient Care

Strengthen the quality of care for patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions by developing, updating, and promoting evidence-based clinical guidelines, treatment protocols, and best practice standards across health facilities in Uganda.

Policy Advocacy & Resource Mobilization

Influence national and international health policies and secure sustainable funding by engaging with policymakers, healthcare institutions, and development partners to improve access to comprehensive cancer and blood disorder care, including diagnostics, medicines, and treatment services.

Strategic Collaborations & Networks

Establish and maintain a robust network of healthcare professionals, researchers, academic institutions, and partners to facilitate collaborative initiatives aimed at enhancing capacity, sharing knowledge, and improving outcomes for patients with cancer and blood disorders in Uganda and beyond.
